The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

AN1x doesn't respond to any MIDI data from LAMP4.8.1.  I'm 
using Mac OS9.2.2, MIDIMAN midisport 2x2....I created Multi 
Instrument object on Environment window and click 1 & 2 of 
it....then select these from Track column area on Arrenge 
window.  I tried every trouble shoot idea I can think of .....Yes, 
MIDI cable is good....OMS setting is good.....anyway,  weird thing 
is this one MIDI cable (which is connected midi in on AN1x) to 
another synth's MIDI in,  this synth does respond.....so this 
makes me think all settings ( LAMP, OMS, Midisport....) should 
be good.....AN1x is the only thing I can think of causing this 
trouble.....but then, again.. I connect my Master Keyboard 
controller 's MIDI out to AN1x's MIDI in directry  ( Bypassing LAMP, 
OMS, midisport).....AN1x does respond...so this makes me think 
AN1x's MIDI in jack is working fine also......( I got this AN1x 
used.....so I thought there's something wrong with this particular 
AN1x....) I mean AN1x's MIDI parameter is just Send ch and 
Receive ch setting and Local ON/OFF that's about it, right.....so I 
don't think I'm missing anything....   Now I gave up......Someone 
please give me any hint, advice anything  before I pull all my hair 
out.....

This seems like a configuration error in your Logic set-up.

Double check the Port settings for the AN1x Multi-instrument you 
created in the Environment. It should be set to USB - not Printer 
or Modem.

Also, double check the Port setting for the 1 & 2 Sub Channels in 
your multi and make certain they don't conflct with the Port setting 
in the Multi.
