Gate effect which will follow the tempo setting?

Hello, Would it be possible to create gate effect with AN1x that will gate in given tempo? I thought it would be possible with step seq but I didn't find a way how to disable the note information from the sequence. So putting it other way: Is it possible to make controller sequence with step seq? Or is there other way to get the effect? Cheers, TimoS
