how to build your own voices with the an1x

how to build your own voices with the an1x

2001-12-11 by Wilbert Enserink

Hi all,

does anybody know some web resources about how to make their own voices. In the an1x manual it is explained how to make the basic sounds like a bass, brass, strings, leads, etc. I would like to do more of these tutorial-like -how-to-build-your-voices examples where things are strating from scratch (e.g. wind type sounds).

regards,

Wilbert

There is a very good series by Peter Gorges of Native Instruments
currently available online from Keyboard Magazine which uses a freeware
softsynth from NI (Mac & Win) for the hands on bit. The principals of
subtractive synthesis featured in these tutorials are applicable to any
subtractive synth:

Also, if you check the Bookmarks for the AN1x-list here at Yahoo!
Groups (go the directory 'Related') you will find links to online
tutorials from FM magazine and Intermusic.com:

Search the archives and you might turn up one or two links which never
made it to the bookmarks section...

HTH,

Jon
