Re: [AN1x-list] tutorial on using a synths

There was some very nice info on http://www.wizoo.com a while ago, and i believe
it is
"updated" (actually info is added) from time to time. I have been looking for
articles and
books about this particular subject too, but it's really hard to find
anything... Sure, i've found some books, but it barely ever discribes it's
contents... So if you see a book called "The theory of synthesis" or whatever,
you still don't know if you will find info like this inside the book or just
find things in it that you already know... know what i mean? :)
The best would be if someone has read a book and can verify if this or that was
in it...
I would also like to be informed about good books if possible... I knew a link
to many very good books once, i believe it was at the internet adress
http://www.musicbooks.com or musicbooksplus.com or musicbooks-plus.com or
something... I will try to find out again soon. Let's come back to this in the
future again... This is a very educating subject.

Another good one is http://www.synthfool.com/

Also, the Manual has some tutorials that are good for helping you learn
to navigate the AN1x - and create some decent sounds. There is a PDF
Quick Guide that has 32 Voices documented with good variations.
It's worth some time to try a few. Tip: If you have a sloooow printer
(as I do) don't try to print the darn thing! It's posted at the 'old'
Yamaha site and I think I uploaded a copy to the Documentation folder
here at eGroups too. Check the Files section.

Joel - I've been checking out a demo copy of Logic and found a site with
some related book reviews. Try http://www.logicuser.net

Ther is a very good tutorial, also describing synthesis in details,
but unfortunately it is written in german. Maybe I spend some time
the next holidays and translate the damn thing.

What's the URL? I'm certain this list has more than a few bilingual
members :-)

OK, it was a silly joke by me, but suffice to say that I speak more that two
languages - and therefore I'm not *bi*lingual. :)

Thanks for the URL!

Okay, already ;-) MULTI-Lingual ha ha ha Is that better? :-)
