I also would like more lfos, lfos that synch to midi, and in general
a more modular routing. Still free eg is pretty cool and I have to
say I don't use a tenth of the AN1X's capabilities.

Me too, on the modular routing. I love the mod matrix, but it would
be cool if it had a couple of features:

- A lag generator to smooth the movements (perhaps this could be a
module the user could target specific modulations with so as to
conserve dsp). This will also help with the MIDI spec problems (128
steps)
- Some kind of tracking generator, and/or range generator. Currently,
many of the mod routing are useful only with certain controls. (e.g.
FM depth is bipolar which means you can only use it musically with
the ribbon-x and the pitch wheel) The ability to set upper and lower
endpoints for a modulation relationship would be really cool.
- Also, the free eg's would be more useful if they were better
integrated with the mod matrix (at least an envelope depth control)

I really love the analog model that Yamaha made. It sounds very
musical to me. I will be nice to see a more full featured 'child' of
AN1x sometime.

Jerry
