i am new at this place. i own a an1x for 2years, now..
i just found tghis place and i think i will search the archieve for

I assume you've got sidstation. Would you be so kind and share some samples
out of the sid box?

join the sidstation group and check the files area.. there are samples
and tracks...

Hello to both of you,

I'm new myself.

Is the AN200 pretty much the same engine as the AN1X ? Do they sound the
same ?

As for the Sid Station, have you tried the Quadra Sid ?

well, sidstation is not a soundcard/ the quadrasid is -called
hardsid,too. i didn´t tried the quadrasid. it´s too expensive for me
right now.. but i think it is a nice thing! visit www.hardsid for
infos.. . i like my sidstation, because i is a own syntheziser..the
harsid is not hardware - nothing to screw with :-)

Yes I know what all 3 are.

The Quadra Sid is a VST plugin, it's not bad !!!

ah! you mean the vst plug in! :-) i heard about it but never get one.
is it freeware? can i download it anywhere? can you maybee send it?-)

Well basically yes.

Yup, well ok, some people claim the AN200 sounds more "phat", but
honestly...it depends on your ability of soundengineering also...IMHO.

Hm, that´s this VSTi Plug-In right?
Did you?
I had a HardSid ISA card with a SID 8850 (6851 are gone from the
second hand market...i guess Elektron bought them all).
It was nice to play with, but...it was detuned a few cents...
Didn´t worked with my other synths, and i was to lazy to adjust the
rest of my gear to the Hardsid.
I am sure Sidstation and QuadraSid are more voice-stable.
The AN1x and Sid-sound will go along well, i am sure.
Those raw edgy SID leads adn basses together with those silky AN1x-
Prophet-like pads...mmmm. ;)

It's good soundsation,indeed..in the vst family, you can
check "synthetic", wich is pretty awesome in that kind of raw
sounds.I've made up my mind that the An1x could not emulate each and
every sounds.If your looking for heavy drum and bass basses and
sounds,this one does it well!
