Hi,
I just wanted to share my happyness - i finally got my an200, yes! 
Yesterday i swiched it on! It is so nice! I went to work today really 
shaking how i am gonna stand all day long without my beauty! Now it's 
five o'clock and i am going back! Weekend is ours!!!
My girfriend calls me "pervert" but you guy understand me don't you?!

As you advised i started to learn with the manual. I hope one day i 
gonna share my experience with you.
Oh, by the way - i am going to by Sonar to sequence, is anyone using 
it. What do you think - what is better Reason or Sonar remembering 
i've a90ex, an200 and esi4000 already?

well Piotr,
you probably are a pervert.
I understand you because my girlfriend feels the same way, she thinks I'm a freak for being so obsessed with my studio, 
she even smacked my AN1X once and broke 3 keys, here is a (crap unfortunately) picture to proove it, as you can see, in the middle the  keys are broken. This pic was made with a digital camera that I returned because all pics looked like this!!

Isn't that comparaing Apples & Oranges: Sonar vs. Reason? I thought 
Sonar was a MIDI/Digital Audio sequencer and Reason was a 
Softsynth/Softsampler/Drum Machine emulator.

Yes that's true, but Reason has some midi sequencing abilities and i wanted
to investigate they can be compared to those of Sonar's.

Tom,
Attachements to the mailing list are not permitted. Sorry, nothing

You might want to check out the forums at http://www.kvr-vst.com/ 
They specialize (sp?) in this type of topic. I'm a Mac user and 
haven't followed much conversation on Sonar but, my impression is 
that you'll probably end up wanting/buying both applications 
Hopefully their strengths and weakness would offset each other, right?

Hello,

eheh Paul it better be good .. 
it costs almost 3 times as much :-) 

anyway I never play a virus (I am sure it sounds nice) 
but the ARP and the step sequencer on the AN1 
are just great ! 

if there would have been 30 programmable arps , LFOs2 = LFOs1 
and if 
the damm thing will send midi time clock
would have been better :-)

The Virus (I played with the keyboard version) is incredibly fun to play in
the shop. The issue that I have with it, is that it uses the available space
on the front panel quite poorly, and the screen is nothing to write home
about. It could use a visual face-lift, and lose a couple of kilos.
(Contrary to most Hollywood actresses, so to say.)

The Supernova II (also keyboard) has the same fun factor, looks like a dream
(anyone ever seen the platinum limited edition?), and is significantly
easier to carry. Then again, I've heard comments from people who aren't
convinced by the Supernova's algorithms. Which is a shame, because I think
it's the most elegant and beautiful VA synth around.

I'm quite happy with the AN1x and would never ever sell it, if only because
it's my first synth. It's just different than the rest, which makes it
desirable, even if you have a multi-mega VA monster like a Supernova, Virus
or Q next to it.
