'scene-values' in AN1Xedit

'scene-values' in AN1Xedit

2001-08-22 by jeroenbaar@yahoo.com

Hello list,

I have a question about AN1Xedit, (version 1.1), probably it's an old
one....

In AN1Xedit there is the library screen. I have opened a collection
of voices, and I see all the names in the list. I select one voice,
and switch with the 'scene' button to all the values and parameters
that create this scene. I can see all this on my screen.

But when I select an other voice, and switch to the scene parameters,
all the values stay the same as the one before. I think these are the
values of the first voice in the list. For all the 128 voices the
scene-values stay the same....

very strange.....

Am I doing something wrong, is it the version of AN1Xedit, or is the
program not capable showing the right values of a voice/scene??

Someone knows the answer?

Thanks & bye,

Jeroen

No, you're on the current version but you don't mention whether Win or
Mac?

When I checked out AN1xEdit last night it worked just as it should. Are
you sure you're selecting a new voice from the Library before you
choose either Scene tab? I've never heard of this problem before so I'm
going to guess this is a simple user error (no offense intended.)

Can you tell which sound file bank you're loading into AN1xEdit - is it
one from the archives?

Hello Jon & list again... :-)

An answer!, yuhuuu, I am happy with this already... :-)

I realized my message was a bit too 'general', I should have
mentioned more details, here they are in the 'rebound'

PC --> Athlon TB1200 with Win98 (not SE). Midiman ISA 2x2 midi
interface, AN1X. But my problem is inside the AN1X software.

Off course no offense.. :-) I do understand it's difficult to help
someone from a distance. I select a voice in the library list with
the mouse, the selected voice is getting a 'blue bar', like normal
windows operations. When I double click, the voice will be send to
the synth.

I have a collection of voices sorted by 'style', like lead, strings.
I have tried some banks from this list too. When I send the whole
library tyo the synth, all the voices are different. But when I look
on the screen, all the values stay the same.

So it should work......

I think I will un-install the program, and install it again, maybe
after some register cleaning. If the problem is still there, I might
try the version before 1.1.

Jeroen

okay, it was my mistake.... :-) :-)

You have to press twice on the name in the library list to select a
voice. Then the scene-values will change on the screen.

When you press twice the voice will be send to the synth...

I thought it would be nice if you were able to 'investigate' values
of other voices without sening them to the synth.

thanks for the help Jon, you where right....

bye,

Jeroen
