data tx ?

data tx ?

2001-08-10 by Jaun Manuek

Hi,
When I plug the an1x's midi out to my ux256 midi in,
this one starts blinking like receiving midi data.
I tried setting tempo to MIDI, but thois doesn't
affect the blinking.

Do you jnow how to stop this ?

Did you have problems woth usb interfaces (I do) ?

thanks

It's probably 'active sensing' or another realtime message. Don't
worry, it's supposed to be there, I'm sure someone else can explain what
it's for.

Active Sensing is a 'hand shaking' routine and is part of the standard
MIDI protocol. Your AN1x is working as designed and this will not be a
problem. Search the archive for more details - this was discussed
recently and both Bruce and Gary provided insight.

What's the issue your having with the USB MIDI Interface? Could you be
more specific? And on what platform - Mac or Win?

regards,

Jon
