The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Hi all.
I just joined the list because I've been on the fence about getting an AN1x
for a while. Now, I decided to go for it!

So, I was wondering if anyone had an AN1x for reasonable price that they
wanted to sell? It MUST be in mint condition (functionally and
cosmetically)? If you don't want to part with yours, perhaps you know
someone who does? 

I just missed out on a deal, last night, and here I am. I'd really
appreciate it (as I am sure many of you can relate).

Keep your's eyes on the classified advertisements at:

http://www.harmony-central.com/
http://www.sonicstate.com/

If you scan eBay http://www.ebay.com/ for completed sales you'll see 
that 2nd hand prices have been holding steady at $450-500 on average. 
Don't pay more than that unless the deal has been sweetened as an 
enticement ;-)

And don't gorget to ask the usual questions: Why are you selling? Has 
it ever been serviced? Is it in need of service now? Any noticeable 
defects? Does it come with any extra's? and so on and so on...

Thanks for your instant help with this. Pity about Jordan's...I guess the
AN1x is  REALLY in demand, now.  I checked sonicstate and HC and out of 6
ads, they're all sold! So, I am still looking for one...

Just thought that I would put  shout out to the list that Mars Music has just reduced the price of the PLG150-AN card to 179.00. That's half an AN1X for cheap!

I paid 2150 Dutch guilders for mine, when I got it in the beginning of 1998.
That's somewhat less than 1000 euro, and at the then price of the guilder, I
would imagine some 1100 to 1200 US dollars. It was also the lowest price I
saw.

Oh well. Haven't regretted it for a moment. It was kinda harsh, though, to
see a new one for only 1300 guilders in the same shop where I got it.

I also got one right in the end of 97' (30 of December as I remember , heh) and
it was 980$ for me ...
I am still loving it more than Virus b , Micro Q , XT if speaking about the
general sound character... :)
