Sweet Mary Mother of God!! This is the coolest looking (free) thing I've seen for the AN1X! How do you use it? And I do mean I need an explanation like I know nothing about SW / HW interaction (since I REALLY know nothing about it:-) Any advice?

Hi Jimmy, I use the PLG150-AN, not the AN1x, but it should be pretty much the same as far as using AN1xedit. I'm sure Gary will be along to explain it better than I can, but basically, once you attach your keyboard to the midi interface on the computer (which, in case you didn't know is usually avalable as an adapter that connects to the joystick port of the soundcard for about $15), you just run an1xedit, set the midi in port to be whatever that joystick/midi port is advertised as (it will probably be your only selection in an1xedit) and set the output port to be the midi output of that same card. There may be a setting or two you have to adjust on the keyboard itself, but that's really about all there is to it. There are TONS of sounds you can dowload from the net. I think I found about 1200 on my first day looking...great launch points. Hope that helps Blades PS...good to see another ga.prestige.net person...small world ----- Original Message -----

Hi Jimmy, I am pleased you like the editor :-) The first place to start is by reading the introduction sections of the AN1xEdit help file. If you get stuck you can always post a message to this group or to my private email (however please keep questions specific....I don't want to end up writing a book on the subject ;-) Regards Gary Gregson Email:gary@... http://www.yme.co.uk/yme
