Hi!
Heres my set up as follows:
WIN98SE,PIII 450MHZ,midi keyboard,SBlive platinham,SW1000XG,PLG150AN,ASIO 2.5,Loopback drivers,Phatboy midi controller.

System set up regaring PLG150AN IS as follows:

xgedit:
midi in=none
midi outA= SWSYNTH 1
midi out B= SWSYNTH 2
midi thru= yes

PLG150AN EDIT:
midi in= none
midi out= LB1

CUBASE5 MME SETUP:
INPUTS:
sw midi in= enable
LB1= enable
LB2= enable
LB3= Disable
LB4= Disable
OUTPUTS:
swsynth 1 = enable
swsynth 2= enable
sw midi out= enable
LB1=Disable
LB2=Disable
LB3=enable
LB4=enable

IN Hubi hwmdcable.exe
INPUT= LB1
OUTPUT= swsynth 1

IN CUBASE 5:
Under VST OPTIONS/MIDI SETUP input drop down box LB1,LB2 is ticked.
In midi vst options ,midi filter...all record filter OFF,all thru boxes =off including sysex.
Play in background is checked in VST OPTIONS.

Now the following happens with the above setup.

1/I can only play 150an voices on midi chanel 1 in cubase5,when I assign other voices via 150AN through cubase to i.e chanel 3,4..etc i get no
 sound,
 only signal input/output in transport bar?Im trying to play/record various
 voices on seperate midi chanels using 150an board,but can only get out put
 on midi chanel1(sw synth1).Can only use 150AN voices on one midi chanel
 only?I need to play back more then one midi chanel voices through plg150? 
2/Using 150an edit with cubase5,I can not change voices or change
 parameters,only get the same sound that was assigned in midi chanel 1 in
 cubase5?How are the voices selected an parameters changed in 150an edit to
 reflect it back to cubase5?
3/ I also tried using the setup procedure described in one of your download files 'HOW TO ACCESS THE PLG BOARD ON SW1000XG USING CUBASE'.This involved using 2 sequencers side by side ...cubase5 an SGWorks using the main plg 150an gui interface....IT SEEM TO WORK OK?But I would like to know the answer if possible of Item 2 above?

I would be gratefull if someone can advise me on these matters.

Hi Dem,

There are several issues here.

1) Your setup is wrong! You have three apps accessing the SW1000#1 Synth
port...but the drivers only support 2 accesses.

You should have:

XGedit:
midi in=none
midi outA= LB1
midi out B= SW1000#2 synth
midi thru= doesn't matter (you have no input!)

AN1xEdit:
midi in= none
midi out= LB1

Hubi hwmdcable.exe
INPUT= LB1
OUTPUT= SW1000#1 synth

So under this setup both XGedit and AN1xEdit are accessing the SW1000#1
Synth port via the Hubi cable/LB1

2) Cubase 5 simply doesn't handle sysex at all well! The Sysex thru function
of the current release of Cubase 5 is broken. The sysex record functions
appear to work....but playback of sysex is not reliable (particularly for
large sysex messages)!

So you can setup Cubase 5 MME as you describe. Thereafter you should be able
to record an playback sysex. However you most definitely DO NOT want to thru
sysex via Cubase 5 until the bugs in the app are fixed! Therefore, you
should set all record filters OFF ....but should set thru filtering to block
sysex.

Thereafter everything should work fine (note you will now only have two apps
talking to SW1000#1 i.e. Cubase 5 and the Hubi Cable, so the driver multi
client limit is not exceeded). Also data from XGedit/An1xEdit will go to the
SW1000 via the Hubi Cable....so Cubase thru functionality is not needed (or
used).

3) The PLG150AN is a single part device with 5 notes of poly. Therefore you
cannot assign the PLG150AN to play simultaneously on multiple parts. If you
really need multiple tracks of AN then you will have to re-record the
PLG150AN back to an Audio track (using the loopback audio record path of the
SW1000XG  i.e. SW1000#2 WAVE input)

4) The voice select and parameter edit problems you were experiencing were
due to your incorrect setup...these should now work.
