AN1x Top Note DEAD on Mac

AN1x Top Note DEAD on Mac

2001-03-05 by tspeer

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering if any of you have seen this problem..
The players...

Beige Mac 400/G3
Opcode Studio 128x Midi interface
AN1x
OMS 2.3.8
Cubase 5.0
External Midi Modules (the usual)

The Problem....

When My AN1x is in local off- and I transmit midi thru Cubase to any of
my Midi Modules (and I have over 10) the very top C note on the AN1x is not
received by the Midi Modules.

The weirdness...

Every other note plays fine.
With Local ON the AN1x plays the top C note plays fine.
I can see the Midi received light on the Opcode interface so it it getting
the top C note on and off command.

The conclusion....

sounds like a problem on the Mac right ???

any insight is appreciated...

Hi Todd,
Have you ever used MIDIOX? It's a great midi stream analyzer and might be
able to tell you something about your setup by just being able to identify
the raw midi signals. You can get it at http://www.download.com and comes
highly recommended from other synth users.

If you are using VST 5 I think that you may find that you need to go and
have a look at your key command preferences, as C6 is usually set to
remote active, just untick the remote key!

Er, isn't that for, you know, Windows and not the Mac? :)

I could be stupid here, but that's I thought it was...

Is my face red? most likely it's for Windows alone

Even so... you need a midi stream analyzer of some sort to diagnose your
problem, I'd suppose.
