Timbrality on the AN1X

Timbrality on the AN1X

2001-02-09 by Bj'rn Standal

Hi Listers

I'm painfully aware of the AN1X 2 timbral support. But when in Cakewalk I
can only assign 1 patch. How can I use the second voice? Has it something to
do with scenes (can't find my manual)?

Anyway, 2 timbres are far too few anyway. How do you guys make up for this
(let's say you want to use 5 patches simultanously)? Do you sample whole
sequences? Or is there some magic trick to it all?

Regards,

Bjorn Standal

I only use 1 timbre at a time.
I think bitimbral action is useless.
An1x has great sounds, but functionalities are useless.
Least, it's better than buying a Juno 106.

I remember that a way to get 2 timbres is to assign each scene to a
different midi channel, - also i think you can split the scenes along the
keyboard - but then we got a sampler and thankfully dont have to go through
the above crap, (which can result in weak sounds), anymore...

Personally, I record sequences straight into logic...
