The AN1x can produce good percussion sounds. But I think there are synthesizers that are better suited for that. For BD's the good old Stomper does an excellent job. AN sync sounds make good percussion too. MHO, Jonas.

Okay dudes! Let mer explain: i've made a really kicking bassdum for goa music. AN1x can produce very impressive percussions sounds! But you have to configure the knobs to produce them, and that's the problem now for me...I have to sample my sounds because my only machine is a AN1x. I work in sample mode. I'm looking for AN1x files that contains sounds of cymbals, drums and others percussives that i can edit and then record in wav format. Could someone help me to find that an1x files ??????? thanks jean-sebastien --- In AN1x-list@y..., "Jonas Nilsson" <josnin98@s...> wrote: > >>> > > Well ... The create sounds on the An1X you have to fiddle with the knobs (or use An1Xedit), that's correct. What I don't understand is, that you know how to make a bassdrum but you don't know how to 'configure the knobs'. Lost you there... If you never tried it, you'll never gonna learn. Programming the An1X is really a joy! :D >I have to sample my sounds because my only >machine is a AN1x. I would say; plunder the yahoogroups file section of this group and Jon's site! Maybe you'll stumble on to more sounds that are not percussive only. You're on your own, kid :) R. --- f:un[x]iun http://funxiun.2y.net http://www.mp3.com/scout303 ---

I second that I've definately heard some cymbals and hihats on some of these kits that you can find in the files section of this ng and other sites... one was called phat and blue or something but I can't remember the address but I'm sure all those files are in the yahoo files anyway... in fact I can even remember stumbing upon a kit called perc something or other... tom

The Phat & Blue 'site was still up & running last I checked http:// www.sounds-central.co.uk/phat/index.htm This link and others are posted in the 'Bookmarks' (Yahoo speak for Links) section http:// groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/links > > in fact I can even remember stumbing upon a kit called perc something or > other... Damn - what a memory! As soon as I read that 'perc something' I started searching...its the SE Perc bank in the 'More Voices' .zip from Yamaha. You can download it here http://www.jdlx-musique.com/support/an1x/ downloads.htm Cool deal, Tom. Jon
