That's a nice price! I took a look at Zzounds, but they don't have it yet.
Does it realy match the Q sound or is it like the Virus rack?

Cheers,

Congratulations!!! What a Christmas! Are you going to keep it, or sell it and
buy a whole bunch of synths and create a retirement account? :-)

They are supposed to closely match the Q sound. You can even load Q sounds into
the Micro Q. A small conversion is done to weed out the non-supported
parameters.

There are some differences. No step sequencer, digital out, or cross modulation
on the Micro Q. The Micro Q is capable of more voices (25) than the regular Q
(16). Waldorf has changed the architecture a bit so that the Micro Q uses the
DSP power more intelligently. Instead of holding the same amount of power aside
for each voice it dynamically allocates the resources so that the more complex
the voice (# oscillators, # effects, etc.) the more DSP power is used.

I have been really trying to decide between the Micro Q and the Q rack, but
have finally decided on the Mico Q. In the future the Micro Q will be
upgradeable to a max of 75 voices.

I have just ordered a Virus b also. :-)

You're right, the 2CV is very funky..:-)...BTW, I knew that Citroën will
launch an updated 2CV, just like the new Mini (Cooper).

Hugs,

I thought about to trade it for a Brazilian car (this one is import), but I
won't do that, and sell my Renault to buy some gear. On the other hand I'm a
good son, so I'll give the Renault to my father to help him to buy his Grand
Cherokee (or something like that).

The Waldorf gear sounds better then the Access ones, but it the virus have
some spects that make it "affordable" and the Waldorf synths doesn't match.
Some days ago I changed my mind and started to take a closer look at the
MicroWave XT (30 voices) then I knew the Micro Q. Now I don't know what to
do (again..:-).

I knew that...you'll never run out of voices again, at least I believe that
you don't have six arms..:-)

Are you dealing w/ drugs or just sold your mom to get the money???...:-)))

Cheers,
PinheadX.

The XT is nice sounding. I have a MicroWave II which is an XT in rack form.

I'm trading in all of my old Roland (Juno 60, MKS-70, MKS-50... etc.) and other
synths.
