The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Personally, I think it is rude to attach any kind of file unless both
parties have agreed to it.  I just cast my vote against and if other
members start attaching patches frequently then I will probably
unsubscribe.     Beside the danger of a virus,  once a message with an
attachment is on my server I have no choice but to receive it no matter how
big it is. I can't get to later messges until that one has been downloaded.
I can delete it  only after receiving. Don't we already have a place where
people can upload their patches for others to access? This is a much better
way to go since  each list member can decide what they do or don't want.
Another option would be to form a secondary list for those who wish to
receive attached files.
