Really? I did not know that! I'm not in market for one - today - but
those prices definitely catch your attention. I'm unclear on exactly
what the Behringer reputation is suppose to be?! At one time, a few
years ago, I thought they were promoting a more exclusive market image -
at least here in the U.S. Now it seems they're shooting for the price
conscious consumer.

It will be interesting to hear what Todd has to say about his new plaything!

On the subject of Mackie Vs Behringer- I own 3 Mackie boards (& no
Behringer)- but lately the compact Behringer mixers are priced attractively-
and you get linear pots instead of knobs (for better visual representation-
or old ARP fanatics..you choose)

I played around with the $100 Behringer Virtualizer Pro last night.

I still have no Idea how many bands the Vocoder is- You'd think the Germans
would be Thorough in their specs- but there is no mention of Bands anywhere
in the manual or on their Website (I've emailed them and haven't heard back
yet). So is it worth $100 ??
I like the Vocoder. Sounds at least like 7 bands- Ran Drums and a Mic
into it with a Buzzy Nord lead chord and it sounded good. (not as nice as
the 21-band Vocoder on my Boss SE-70- but better than the Analog
Electroharmonix Vocoder I used in the 80's)
The Reverbs were strange. Hard to descibe. Not cheap like a Quadraverb-
but they all sounded similar to each other..like.... well.... a Quadraverb.
Flange was OK.. Chorus may be usable (needs tweakin').. Delays are
alright.
......Did I mention the Vocoder ??

Now I promise to return to the subject of our beloved AN1x (sorry for the
off-topic bit)
