Ed, Did you ever get the v1.04 EPROM Yamaha sent you installed? How did it work out? If so, can you check whether the Arp/Seq will now transmit when LOCAL = Off? Thanks, Jon

Yeah, Jon, got it and installed it (and IIRC I think I posted to the group) and found absolutely nothing I could document as different. I will investigate the transmission question you have this weekend (still packed up from a gig) and give you a report. Ed, Did you ever get the v1.04 EPROM Yamaha sent you installed? The Yamaha tech guy said the only real big improvement with EPROM v1.04 is that it prevents the 'low battery' warning from coming on too early. Woo hoo!! Someday I'll get out the golden screwdriver and install it anyway. :-) Cheers, Mark v1.02 --- In AN1x-list@egroups.com, "Edwards, Ed" <ed.edwards@s...> wrote: > Yeah, Jon, got it and installed it (and IIRC I think I posted to the group) > and found absolutely nothing I could document as different. > > I will investigate the transmission question you have this weekend (still

Hello everyone
This is what the OS v1.04 is all about, no new updates or new features:
1. A "Battery Low" message appears prematurely when the voltage of the
lithium backup battery reaches on avarage 2,97V.
2. If Delay effect settings are changed while playing, a pooping noise can
sometimes be heard.
No need to rush out and get the chip, of cause if you are experiencing
problems related to the fixed bugs, then go get it.

Is it easy to pop the cover off the AN1x? Are there any "gotchas" to be aware of when replacing the EPROM? From: <mark@...> > Is it easy to pop the cover off the AN1x? No, it's a bitch. The thing is covered with screws. > Are there any "gotchas" to be aware of when replacing the EPROM? Even more than usually is the case with computer equipment, it's sensitive to static charges. So make sure you earth yourself on the AN1x (which should be pretty difficult, since it's a plastic case), that you don't wear shoes or (nylon) socks, stuff like that. Better yet, forget about it. It's not worth it. - Peter

Too late...it's a done deal. I took an ax to my AN1x, cracked open the case, and now I'm v1.04. I really didn't care for that popping noise (or "pooping" as earlier described) when changing the delay setting. :-) Cheers, Mark v1.04 --- In AN1x-list@egroups.com, "Peter Korsten" <peterk@i...> wrote: > From: <mark@a...> > > > Is it easy to pop the cover off the AN1x? > > No, it's a bitch.
