The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

I have built up a custom-loaded and -tweaked set of voices in the
presets of the synth itself, and wish to dump these from the synth back
to the PC as a .AN1 file for archiving

How to do this?

Assuming you have MIDI IN and MIDI OUT connected to your AN1x and the
correct ports set in the An1xEdit MIDI Setup dialog.....

1) Create a new library in An1xEdit (select File/New menu item)

2) Go to the library and click the 'Select All' button (so that it turns
green)

3) Click the 'Request'

4) Sit back and wait for you An1x to dump all the info to AN1xEdit.

5) Save the library to disc using the File/Save As menu item. Give it a
name in the dialog and press OK.
