possible or not?

Hello everyone, I have a quick question.
I was wondering if it's possible to have the AN1x be triggered from an
external sequencer (via MIDI in), and at the same time have the keyboard be
used as a MIDI controller for a different sound generator (via MIDI out).
In other words, I want my external sequencer (MMT-8 or computer) to play the
AN1x while I use the AN1x's keyboard to play my EX5R. So far, I've only
got one or the other to work. Any info would be much appreciated!
