Live, man, live. I don't wan't no computer on stage. (Well, that's a lie,
I do have a laptop...but all it's used for is changing patches on all synths
simultaneously.)

Yes, you're right...anyone that uses Cakewalk can filter the AT for each
channel...

Well, it prevent you to run like a crazy to press all those buttons quickly,
so you can also use it to filter the AT without any shame....not live, but
in "Real Time"...:-)
BTW, how many hands do you have to play all those synths
simultaneously??...(lol)...

Appreciate all the comments on Aftertouch...this is a very active group!
OK, noticed something strange. Looks like my AN1x doesn't send out a CC #1 message from the modulation wheel. Snooping via Midi Ox, looks like it actually sends out a CC #2 (Breath control) message from the MW! Is this normal? I tried changing from Mode 1 and Mode 2, but still CC #2. This will cause a problem setting up my ultimate B3 rig using an MU-80 in conjuction with the AN1x. Anyone know what's up here?

Hi Paul,

First of all please do not post in HTML format/with the egroups banner crap
(turn it all off).

Re the MOD wheel....like most of the controls on the AN1x you can configure
it to send whatever controller you like. If you use AN1xEdit, just click on
the dial next to the MOD wheel and select which controller you want it to
send (e.g. CC1 MOD DEPTH).

A company named Anatek made cool in-line MIDI thingies that could do great
stuff, although they were often limited in function. There was the Pocket
Merge, Pocket Filter, etc. Problem was that the filter was not specific....
I think that it filtered ALL CC messages.

Hm...doesn´t it only filters audio? I was talking about a tool that
can filter MIDI-data-streams. I think, if Edward would use a
Hardwaresequencer, these have a MIDI-filter also, doesn´t they?

My old (and sold) Yamaha QX5 could do that....I saw one at e-bay for about
$50...

Thanks Gary. AN1xEdit worked like a charm. My AN1X must've been switched to send Breath Control from the MW by its original owner.
By the way, I've been a proud owner of XGedit95 for years for use with my venerable MU80. Quite a privilege to get advice from the creator of this fine program. Hope Yamaha took good care of you for making AN1xEdit available for free.
