As i stated, if you compare the prices, yes, you get more when you buy a AN1X. Even though I have a AN1X and love that machine I still have to admit IMO that the JP is a better machine. I didn't say a much better machine =)

Care to back that up with substance as to why it's a
better synth? All you've said is that it's better, but
not why it's better. I'm not trying to start an
arguement. I'm just curious as to what you see in it
that makes it "better".

I'm not sure about the cleanness of the sound. After all, it's supposed to
be an analogue synth. I do know that the AN1x throws a nasty spike over the
left channel when you switch it on or off, but when I listen to it through
my 01v digital mixer and AKG K240M studio monitor headphones, I hear a clean
sound - no noise at all.

The AN1x has more features than the JP8000, as a comparison between the spec
sheets will tell you.

The JP8000 kicks arse in the user interface department, but I'm not even
sure about the waveforms. Supersaw is nice, but there are these 'inner1' and
'inner2' waveforms of the AN1x as well.

Hi Tom

He also did the same on the Future Music forum. I didn't like his music any more this time round either. He's probably rejoicing in the fact that his site got a another download hit - but I really wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Sorry guys! ;-)

Yes, but only on a prototype. BTW, Roland's not sure if they will ever
release this *turbo* model on the market.

Yeah i think so as well. What i am always wondering, why do
these "dotcom"musicians always promote their music on places where
other musicians are. Why don´t they go into chatrooms and mailing
lists in which are:
a) more ppl,
b) less critical ppl
so that he creates more hits and downloads on his mp3-site.
And telling us that he thinks that the AN1x is a plastic toy doesn´t
motivate us very much to listen to his music or read his further
postings.
I guess that´s simply a question of IQ.

Tom - (who envies Phil a lil bit for having another VA-synth with an
Audio-In)
