Hi all,

I don't know personaly this machine, but I think you should take a look at
some "non-phrase" samplers (wich are more versatile) that have this ability
such the A4000 (it's more expensive, but seams to be pretty nice since it's
better then the A3000 and also have knobs..:-) or an Akai S2000 (I think
it's out of production right now, but you may find an used one).
Just an idea.

There are only minor differences between the a3000 (v2) and a4000 AFAIK,
like an updateable OS chip, and a graphical display.

I have an A3000 and I would not recomend it. It does have some good features 
(loop remix, loop devide) and you can controll it with the AN1X knobs 
however I have lost so much data with my attached Harddisk and the OS seems 
unstable compared to say an E4xt or an Akai s300xl.
