Beeps at power up

Hello All,
I just acquired an AN1x last week - I've noticed a couple things that
don't seem quite right with it:
1) The LEDs blink/change brilliance a good bit when the sequencer or
arpeggiator are at work.
2) When I first power it up from cold I get some random chirps from
it. Maybe 2 or 3 in a 5 or 10 second period, then all is normal.
And it doesn't do it if it's only been shut off for a few seconds.
Is this normal? It doesn't sound like it, but what do I know...
