It's November 2019 now, Yahoo's removing content around 14 December. A number of Yahoo Groups are in the process of moving to groups.io.
A move costs in the region of $220 dollars to complete the migration and for the first year. It's possible to change to a cheaper or free plan thereafter, depending on how much space is needed for content and so forth.
Dec 1 is the cutoff date for "guaranteeing a successful migration", meaning that to be sure that all messages and so on are transferred across it would be best not to attempt this after Dec 1.
I've taken an offline backup of this group but it's a backup of last resort and there are limitations with regards to the message (email) data. It is possible to sort the messages and copy the content into PDF archives but the formatting won't look wonderful.
Alternatively one can create another AN1x group at groups.io and forego the professional migration and restore content manually. It's probably simple enough to do for photos and files but there doesn't appear to be a way to restore old messages without paying.
A migration to another host should be considered and there isn't much time left to make a decision.

I'm another FB allergic.
It's too bad because obviously it can be a useful resource for collecting information but their business model (I am the product) and the price I have to pay means that it just isn't for me.
Whoever the leader is over here could consider creating an AN1x group at groups.io. If the email messages aren't migrated then it costs nothing.
The files (content) would be easy to migrate, I already have a backup and others can take backups as well. (Ensure this is done well before Dec 14th. The more redundant copies the better).
Perhaps a FB member could even help acquire files & resources from that source that aren't already available on the yahoo group and then add it to a new AN1x group at groups.io?
I can export the messages to PDF files and sort the topics by original posting date. That way the records are retained. If somebody else has a better way now's a good time to share the plan.
Any volunteers here who would like to start a new AN1x group at groups.io? That person will be the owner. It's probably for the best to add a few more members here as backup admins & moderators.

I have moved a few groups from yahoo to groups.io: the Korg Polysix and MonoPoly lists are merged to a generic Vintage Korg group: https://vintagekorg.groups.io/g/Maillist, and the Mellotron group has been moved to https://groups.io/g/Mellotron. These were full (paid) migrations, and truly painless. Unfortunately groups.io doubled the fee to do a full migration to $220 shortly after that.
But you can still setup a free group and do things manually (except recreate the message archive), as described below. I already have a full archive of this group, and I’d be willing to setup a new one on groups.io.

No FB allergic, at least, not for somewhat socializing / cyberstaling my
self proclaimed friends.
The group section is just abhorrent. Sure, it works, for quick and
fleeting stuff. But it's virtually unsearchable, everybody gets lost in
the files section (or just plain forget it's there). And organisation is
just, crap.
It's fun though, to see the neverending stream of gearlust I guess (I'm
looking at you, minidisc group :D). Not too sure about the AN1x group
yet though, might be interesting to join, but it's probably hmm, let's
just call it, apprehensive on the usefulness of it all.
I miss things like forums. Searchable, organised, sectioned. Facebook is
ruining more than one thing :) Oh yeah, centralised. Something facebook
isn't.
