Factory Reset question

Factory Reset question

2017-09-19 by nedcollette@...

Hi folks,

Just wondering if you do a factory reset just on voices 65–128, whether that will erase patches you've created in 1–64 ? There's a couple of factory sounds I want to experiment with again but I obviously don't want to lose my own patches, which until now I've saved in the low numbers.

I do have mine backed up, but don't really want to load them scene by scene again and lose the effects settings.

Or does anyone know of the factory patches existing as a set you can use with the editor ? Then I could just reload the one or two I'm interested in.

Thanks,

Ned

You can dump the factory sounds to the editor first and then delete some, add
some, edit some... before you send them back to the synth.

Hello !

do as if you want to perform a factory reset :

turn off the synth - press and hold the 7 -8 - 9 keys on the keypad - turn it on again:

"Fact.set 1-9 ?" will appear on the LCD.

Choose "2" (reset of the n° 65 - 128 patches).

Then "2 - Y/N ?" will appear on the LCD , press "Yes" on the keypad : done !

The 1 - 64 patches are not affected and remain unchanged. But it's a good idea to save your own patches on your computer with An1X edit, or any software that can handle MIDI sysex data.

Hope that it helps...
