The word "Japs" is an offensive word because during WWII the our redneck 
American soldiers used the word "Japs" and "Slant eyes" as a degrading word.  
Asking why "Japs" is an offensive word because it is short for Japanese is 
like asking why "Slant eyes" is an offensive word because they really do have 
a slanted almond-shaped eye structure.  It's the same as calling an Italian a 
"Wop" or an arab a "towel-head" beause they wear turbins....
