AN200 load single voice from Expert Editor without overwriting entire pattern?

Hello,
I wondered if there was an easy way to store a single voice from AN Expert Editor to the AN200 device without overwriting the whole drum pattern?
Right now I am using the AN200 Editor to make patterns using the drum sequencer and AN Expert Editor to edit the synth voices over the pattern but each time I store a voice from the Expert Editor it is overwriting the drum sequence on the AN200 too. So far I can't figure out how to send the voice only without overwriting the whole pattern on the AN200. So instead I have been sending it to a separate pattern, then copying the voice from that pattern to the drum pattern I am using on the AN200. Programming is already a PITA and this seems like a very roundabout way of doing this, is there an easier way?
