Single key velocity problem

Single key velocity problem

2013-10-15 by <anders@...>

Hi !

My name is Anders and this is my first post (unless my previous post did get posted)

I just picked up an An1x and am thrilled to start using it.
The seller had just recently changed the battery and removed some dust and everything looks and feels great.......except

The middle C (C3) is misbehaving. It responds to velocity but is a lot more sensitive than the other keys. moderate velocity triggers levels close to 127 (have note measured but it is kind of obvious)

Is this a problem people get from time to time ?
Can it be fixed by cleaing som dust or somthing from the trigger or what should I do ?

BTW I live in Sweden and have some other synths I can use while waiting for some valuable input.

Sorry to waste my first post with problems but I did not expect the precius device cause me problems until later down the road :-)

/Anders

Single key velocity problem

2013-10-17 by Anders Hellquist

Hi!

This is my third attempt to make a first post:-)

My name is Anders and I'm a Yamaha user currently owning a an1x, fs1r and an ex5. I have some other keyboards as well but enough about them..

Just recently got myself an an1x in good condition.

Everything is working just fine except the middle c key that is too sensitive. A moderate hit on that key gives me a 127.
The key still has the full velocity range but offset from the rest.

The previous owner did change the battery and also removed a lot of dust before selling it.

I suspect that a grain of dust is in the wrong place but I really do not know.

Is this something others have experienced and how can my new precious device be cured?

Best regards, Anders
