Mod wheel morph

Mod wheel morph

2013-02-19 by Clinton@gmail

Hi all,
When I hold scene 1 and scene 2 at the same time I'm assuming I'm hearing both scenes and using the mod wheel as a cross fader so to speak. Is it possible that I don't need the mod wheel in there and I can just have each scene playing 50/50? I understand it's a "morph" wheel at that point, I just don't want it set that way. Is that possible?

Check out the user manual pages 95/96 to assign a MIDI controller to the Scene Control function, then you can send 64 to that controller to set the parameter halfway between scenes.

Otherwise, consider getting to 50/50, either by the default way (mod wheel) or by an assigned controller, and then saving the result to one of the scenes (Scene Store, page 99) to permanently capture the parameter morph between scene 1 and scene 2.

Hello !
as far as i know you can have both scenes together as 2 "layers" , i.e.
both sounds are played at the same time and you loose 5 notes. (10 notes
max ->5 notes for the first layer, 5 for the 2nd). But you don't have an
"intermediate" sound this way, there is a kind of "sum" of both voices
parameters, not a "mean" value as when you use the morphing setup...with
the mod wheel.
Cheers.

Is this why when I call up the first osc pitch it's tuned to 2 instead of 0 where I placed it?

Scene one osc1 pitch is set to 0
Scene one osc2 pitch is set to 5
Scene two osc 1 pitch is set to 7
Scene two osc 2 pitch is set to 12
Both scene switches are lit up.

For the life of me I cannot tune other synths to this without bending my ear considerably.
