Any ideas? Idea 1: The Nord Lead by itself will sound very 'bare', so to say. It doesn't have any effects, which are an essential part of the sound. I don't know if the mixer has any kind of effects (I doubt it), but if your budget is that tiny, I don't think the Nord Lead is the right synth for you. Idea 2: You can connect two outputs to one input, without damaging your gear. Yet, again, you'd better invest in a cheaper new synth (there are many nice synths *with* effects for far less money than a Nord) and a better mixer. > Here's the second question: Right now for sound I've got an Alesis > studio amp pushing a worn out pair of home stereo speakers. It's important that you have accurate detail in your sound, but a normal pair of nearfield monitors should be sufficient. Home systems (like home theater stuff) will probably colour the sound they produce. I myself am saving for a pair of Genelec 1030A's, which go down to 55 Hz. I've heard them, and they sound great. And they're bloody expensive as well, but that's another story. - Peter
