Hello all

Why the fuss over this machine???? Here in denmark this machine costs between 1000 - 1200 £, and it has only 4 notes polyphony, I can get a Virus for 500 £ more, and I would get a 16 part multi timbral killersynth. I have heard the MS2000 and I am not impressed. I think that Korg lately has failed their marketing. Look at the Z1, it started out with the price 2300 £ and because of other synth on the market they lowered the price to near 1200 £ and they still made money on this one. Granted, Korg makes great synths, but their prices are WAY off!!!

Fat bass. Nice leads. I don't care for the pads that much though they sound
pretty decent (and pads is something the AN1x excels in anyway). And a vocoder,
too. If I got one, it would basically be a dedicated bass synth. It's sort of
like a 21st century Minimoog (yeah I know I'll take a lot of flak for saying
that but W.T.H...)

I agree, but on the other hand if you use its vocoder you'll lost some of
its cababilities as the "analog sequencer" for example...but who cares, most
of us already have it...:-)

matter that the MS2000 has some nice pads, take a chord and the polyphony is
used.

I agree about the polyphony, but its vocoder is based on a Korg's classic (I
can't remind the model right now...and too lazy to look for..:-)

Well if I were looking for a monosynth to make only basslines I would choose
the BassStation, I think I should find an affordable used one. But for that
price ($600)...Uhmmmm....I don't think I would ever find a BassStation w/ a
built in vocoder....:-)
