NOS AN1x available

NOS AN1x available

2011-12-05 by synthpimp

Just spreading a little holiday cheer...

Crazy Analog in Seoul, ROK has a bunch of new old stock factory sealed AN1x synths for sale under the 'used' section of their website. Mine arrived today and everything's absolutely perfect. An amazing find considering it's been nearly 15 years. I'm not associated with Crazy Analog in anyway just an extremely satisfied customer.

Grab them before the dealers do.

what did the shipping cost? (and where are you at)

i'm in the states - $200 (my estimation) for shipping would be a killer.

It was reasonable considering the distance and time...only 4 days to Florida. They'll provide you with a shipping quote and a picture of the boxed unit upon request. Be prepared to change the patch memory battery and provide a 12VDC power adapter for 110VAC. My unit came in the original factory sealed shipping container circa 1997-99.

Surprise your brand spanking new AN1x with a v1.04 ROM update which is still available from Yamaha parts at http://www.yamaha24x7.com

Good luck!

Thank you very much for that, I've now got one too, and as you said Lee from CrazyAnalog made the whole ordering process very easy and worry-free. It's really quite exciting opening a sealed box and finding a pristine 14 year old synth inside. It did report "Battery Low" as expected, but Lee even provided a spare battery (CR2430 though instead of the original CR2450, I presume that will just need replacing sooner?).

You recommended upgrading to OS v1.04; what advantage will that provide over the current version 1.02?

Congrats! It's great fun opening the Tomb of the AN1x!

From the archives...from yekuku:

v1.04 OS corrects an erroneous 'low voltage' warning which can occur prematurely and also corrects the audio response when modulating the depth, i.e., return, of delay effects (minimizes/removes popping noise).

Thanks, I did see that bit somewhere for the change from 1.03 to 1.04, but I haven't seen a changelog for version 1.03. Is it available anywhere?

So how much are these going for and how do you pay for them?

What's the safest way to do all this?

Thanks Burnsie

Communication with Lee @ Crazy Analog is done via email, payment sent using Paypal. Pricing is shown on their website and they'll provide you a shipping quote along with pictures of the boxed unit upon request.

I ordered mine on the 9th jan 2012, and arrived on the 14th jan 2012. No trouble with customs or fees to pay. Brillant. I even got goose bumps opening it. Total shrink wrapped in the original pakaging, original manuals, power supply. Even the lcd has the plastic tape of it. Amasing 15 years old and in all its awesomeness.

Order away guys as i now have 2 of these.

Mike
