Thanks - I did look through several libraries. I am just stuck with my IMac
trying to get a program to download these libraries to the AN1X. Currently, I
have found an.factory - this required a registration fee, but if things work, it
is cheap. I miss AN1X editor...if you know an easier way, please let me know.

Thanks again,
a

SysEx Librarian will allow you to work with both .MID and .SYX - there are many of such in the Files section of AN1x-list here at Yahoo! Groups.

http://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/

Over the past months, some list members have taken time to convert some of the Voice libraries from .AN1 format to .MID format. You'll find the results in the Files section as mentioned.

Hi,

There is the solution :
I use a Mac too, you can run Windows XP SP3 through it with VMware Fusion 3 (or Parallels Desktop). You can have access to your USB-MIDI interface (I use the M-Audio Uno ). AN1x editor works great this way, I am able to send and received AN1x data voice with my Macbook Pro!

For AN200 and PLG150AN owner I have with this virtual setup some issues with the XGworks lite V3.0.7 plugin editor : MIDI IN can't work. XGworks don't find automatically the MIDI IN. When I set it, I am just good for restart XP. On the other hand I am able to send data voice to both AN200 an PLG150AN (inside a CS6x). I am currently working on it, I think XGworks lite don't really like XP SP3 :)

By the way I am a new AN1x owner, I would like to thanks all the contributors for the great AN1x sound libraries out there.

Cheers !

Thanks very much for all the info and links. I am just getting back into the
AN1X, and working through MIDI and synth settings. Can't wait to get it all
going again - I miss the boom of the AN1X. I will check it out -
Andrew

Thanks for the reply. Question: Is VMware Fusion free? I checked out the site
and tried to register/download fusion3, but had trouble. wondering if I need to
pay. question 2: After downloading the fusion3 software, where did you find an
editor? The last version I have seen is for Windows 98. Thank you very much
for your help. I too, love the AN1X!

VMWare Fusion is most definitely NOT free. However, VirtualBox is: http://www.virtualbox.org/
