Hey new here

Hey new here

Hey
Hope everyone is well?

I'm new here, I've just got myself the impressive AN1x :0)

As I'm Mac based and been downloading some presets/Sound banks off here, i've noticed that the ending is .an1 but this will not work on my Mac I'm looking for .syx as these work on my computer.

Would someone PLEASEEEEEEE point me in the right direction where I can download some sound banks please.

Thanks soooo much
cheers

Welcome to the club !
The .an1 suffix of the patches is given by the "AN1x edit" software,
once available for free on the Yamaha website. I fear that there is no
Mac version of this editor. You'll have to convert these files (how ??)
in .mid files and load them with any soft handling MIDI data.
I can't say more, let the Mac afficionados answer, i suppose you're not
the first one.

Check out this recent thread.

The Mac version of AN1xEdit only runs under Classic, but you have other options as you'll find in this often discussed topic.

Another idea :
if your Mac is powerful enough, run a Windows emulator, then AN1x edit.
These librarian - editor softwares are not so huge and so fast....
I'm sure it will work, it works in a research lab (power electronics) to
control measurement and test equipments whose drivers are "Windows only"
with a Mac (2009) . The only issue could be with the USB - MIDI
interface...
Cheers.
