Powering on; gets stuck at "YAMAHA 1997" screen.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I lugged my AN1x to my office to get some music homework done.
I had been using a Korg NanoKey for simple MIDI work, which, if you've used one, you know is cool but not great for actual playing.
Honestly (and sadly) I hadn't turned on my AN1x in a good awhile. Well, when I turned it on here at work... it just remains at the very first screen, "YAMAHA 1997."
Holding 7+8+9 when powering on does not bring up the factory reset screen. :(

This assignment is due soon and using the AN1x was my key to getting good work done tonight. ARGH.
I don't suppose there's a quick cure for this?!

Cheers,
Phil

Maybe you're experiencing some battery issues. Try replacing that one?
And while you're at it, check for loose cables (could happen after not
using it for some time and lugging it around :D)

Good luck,

Gerald

So the AN1x has an internal battery? Is it easy to replace?
And I'm pretty rubbish with opening things up and tinkering with wires. :/
I suppose I have no choice though, huh?

Thank you!
Cheers,
Phil
