Yamaha is putting a lot of research into auto accompaniment--clavinovas etc. The AN1x would have been more successful if it had one knob per function (way more expensive as well). The layout can be confusing for people. The build quality could have been better too. The sound is tremendous.

Let's have them make another VA with more knobs, FM (with analog sounding filters,) and wave table synthesis.

My money might be more on a Nord Wave, in that case. I've already got an 
EX5 and AN1x, and yet another incarnation of the same VA software and 
filters might be a bit much.

It's good to diversify. :)
