.mid to AN1X

.mid to AN1X

2010-04-29 by curtishobsonandheidirickson

Hello all;

I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some step by step directions on how to get .mid files into the AN1X.
I did search the posts and FAQ but can't seem to find something (instructions) I can understand.
I have midi ox and use that with sysex for a D50 but this is the first board I own that has to deal with .mid. I have succesfully loaded from AN1X edit and that works fine but I would like to know how to load the UK voices and others in .mid format.
All help appreciated. I am tech savy in some areas, not others. Soldering yes, coding and code in general no, not too much sequencing or midi experince....
an factory looks good but would like to try midi ox first and see if I can get it working.

Running Windows XP, Media player, ect.....

Thanks in Advance, Hopefully.

Hi!

Just use a sequencer programm (cubase or any freeware), load the
mid-file, choose the correct midi-output and play the midifile.
Be sure the sequencer really starts playing at the beginning of the
file.
when the midifile is compatible, an1x receives new patches.
Midiox isn´t the proper tool to play midifiles.

Have fun!

Just play back the midi file using a midi sequencer such as Cubase or Cakewalk. There are also free MIDI sequencers available on the net.

By using a MIDI file software such as MIDIOx (freeware). You cannot edit
them, unless you have a good knowledge of the MIDI files structures and
hex codes of your own synth, but you can load or dump such files from
and to your AN1x with only some clicks on your mouse. MIDIOx can handle
any MIDI files, from sound patches to sequences.... and is freely
available on the net.
