JP-8000 Sounds on UK AN1x?

JP-8000 Sounds on UK AN1x?

I was drifting through MATRIXSYNTH tonight and ran in to this post from a while back: http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2006/07/yamaha-an1x-samples.html

The thing that caught my eye was this mention of factory JP-8000 patches being released for the AN1x in the UK:
"Another fascinating bit about the AN1X was that the UK Yamaha release the Roland JP8000 factory presets for it. I A/Bed the AN1X to a JP8000 and the presets were spot on for the most part. It was pretty amazing."

I saw there was a folder of UK AN1x sounds in the Files section, does anyone know if these contain the JP-8000 sounds? If not, does anyone know where they can be found?

I'd love to be able to "A/B" them too.

Nice sounds... at least some. I like "celtic pad" pretty much
"Emerson-esque" and the 2 mellotron sounds, the "flute" is very
impressive and sounds like the "real thing" (the mellotron of course, if
this is a flute i am the Pope)
I suppose that the names of the samples and the an1x patches are the
same : load them and have a try !

Yes there is a file within the Yamaha UK zip archive called jp8000

They do exist

I have the jp8000.an1 (220k size) file on my pc right now (amongst many others). I'll upload tomorrow if someone hasn't already (or it's probably already in the files area cos I obv got it from somewhere :) )

yes, the JP-8000 sounds are in the files section you mentioned below
they are the factory settings Roland used, and other than hearing how good a job the AN1x can do at mimicking them, I don't know why anyone would want them
