I need a hardware analog step sequencer

Jack,

Seems you prefer hardware gears like I do. I use a Yamaha RM1x which is a rompler with a very nice sequencer (supports pattern based sequencing & can chain the patterns) also I have QY700 & QY100.. All of them are good gears & have step sequencing method. The ebay offers them at somehow accepted price ranges due to the fact of rarity of these good gears...

Sincerely,
Phreaque

Does anyone on here know where I can get one for not too much money.

Thanks Jack

"Not too much money" is relative......the mid priced Doepfer 16/3 is running about $700 on EBay. This is the lowest commercial analog step sequencer. There are some other smaller private venture products in the $250 to $400 range which are not as programmable and a single track. You can also use an Emu Command Station as a MIDI step sequencer....it has 16 tracks......

Why are you looking for an analog sequencer for the An1x?....did you mean analog style MIDI sequencer as you can only control the An1x with MIDI. BTW - the An1x has an 8 step sequencer built in....

Blacet makes the "Hex Zone", if you're interested in a module (power supply required). It's a microprocessor-controlled step sequencer. USD328 assembled.

I have several Blacet modules and they are great! I don't have the sequencer.

Jack,
if you have a few more money and if you like "old school like" gear you
can look at the Möbius, Doepfer or Vermona MIDI step sequencers with
knobs (yes, like old Moogs or ARPs !). They are more or less like the
AN1x in board sequencer, with a little more steps. A little bit bulky
(19' racks) but user friendly...
Cheers.
