I think that the guy was attempting to sell the patch set when this vid
first appeared about 2-3 years back.



I don't think I've seen his actual market location or price but I think he
was responsive on the list for a little while.



Poke around some and he may come out. I think it was a nice set of chats he
posted. Certainly a very capable musician, performer, programmer.



I do know that when I compiled the extensive sound list a few years ago,
this Jexus and his performances weren't available yet so that's a bit of a
shame none are out there for the public use. Maybe he's willing to donate
or sell some by now.

it take a lot off time and patients to create patches like that

i create transwaves from these synths which takes even longer as you have to
make 128 single cycle of a varying waveform

you can do some wicked fm patches on the an1x it based on the prophet 5
which has analog fm of its oscillators so you can use any oscilator wave
form to frequency modulate the osc

plus its got a ring modulator plus noise you can make some good snares and
bass drums with sin and noise with resonant filter and fm using the peg

its all about experimenting and not worrying about boundries use what youve
got

it a pity they did not make it a 3 or 4 osc synth then you can have some
real fun with cord structures like on the moogs and the prophet vs

thats what ido with my synths i get there best sounds and then layer them as
transwaves in my ensoniq samplers and use volume modulaters to crossfade the
4 layers a la prophet vs and 4 note cords

The text is in german but the sound files are interesting. OK , the 2
"AN1x files" are 16 track records but they sound great. As me this guy
regrets that Yamaha never issued some "AN2x" with more polyphony, more
knobs and multi timbral ... or at least an expander module. On another
hand Yamaha was trying to build some kind of "modern Prophet 5", these
limitations were probably intentional.
