the AN1 polysynth patch on a softsynth

the AN1 polysynth patch on a softsynth

2009-07-03 by luc.hogie@laposte.net

Hi guys. I love the Polysynth patch on the AN1x. Very warm and impressive. I am looking for a softsynth that would be able to make
the very SAME sound ! Have you ever heard of one?

Superwave P8 is quite close but I get a much brighter sound.

thanks,
luc.

sample it and make a soundfont2 instrument then use it in sfz or kontakt or any softsynth that works with soundfonts

Yamaha PLg150-An, AN1x, AN200
is based on the Prophet 5,

some sounds can be aproximated with:

Native instruments Pro53,
Sonic Core Prophet5
Dave Smith Prophet 08
the real SCI prophet 5
maybe novation v-station
maybe sylenth1

filters and resonance are verry diferent in Yamaha than Novation V-Station
Yamaha has much Stronger resonance.

maybe you could get close with some patches, but that samll diference could be everything or nothing. its personal taste.

... why you want to do that?

Thanks

I'll try. However I am kind of doubting that FM synthesis
is able to reproduce this fat sounding. Would you recommend me some
preset?

Thanks,
Luc

fm8 wont do it as its fm and an1x is a virtual analog based on the artitechture of the prophet 5 by sequential so you would be better of trying an emulation of that

or use wusic station as there is a full sound set of the an1x in wusic sound format

Erratum: I'm looking for the VSTi that is the most capable of reproducing
the patch: WarmPoly.

sorry :(

Re: [AN1x] the AN1 polysynth patch on a softsynth

2009-07-06 by Luc Hogie

I wanna do that because I LOVE this WarmPoly patch.
It's a very classic tone that is wonderful on stage!

I recently used it to play Billie Jean (left hand played the bass and
right one played the famous F#m G#m A chords) and it made really
great impressions. But now I would like to use a computer on stage, instead
of synths expanders. Doing this I would like to keep having this
WarmPoly patch.
