Midi Transmit Traspose

Midi Transmit Traspose

2008-09-05 by marcobasile78

Hello...a little question for ya...anyone knows something to use An1x
as a midi device to trasmit the traspose message +12 /-12 ?!??!!?
I use my An1x to control a Piano Rack and I wanna change the pitch
during the live gigs with a Acustic Piano patch...from +12 or -12 4
example...
Thanx

The MIDI standard has no “transpose” control function
 every synth is on its
own with this.

Remember, you can program any of the knobs to send out MIDI CC (continuous
controller) data. But (and here’s the big catch) the receiving synth has to
be able to use the CC message and unfortunately I don’t recall any synth
that has a CC mapped to transposition.

Here’s a work-around. Copy your piano patch twice to two adjacent locations
(overwrite patches you don’t need). Now, transpose one and save it. Now
all you have to do is send the right Patch change data from the AN1x to get
the transposition you need.
