The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

We have a festival gig Saturday. All original tunes. Spent weeks 
dialing in new sounds. The band wants Farfisa and Wurlitzer patches. 

Boring!

I wouldn't use the An1x for Farfisa & Wurlitzer sounds.....there are dozens and dozens of other keyboards that have an architecture more suited for that and would take only minutes to create the sounds needed.....

The AN1X did great on Saturday. Big outdoor party. A lot of guitar players. I designed a couple patches just for the night--special effects sounds with filter sweeps and and echo/modulation manipulation with the ribbon controller.

Nice to be able to play somewhere where you can really take things to the edge.
