Modulation wheel problem

Modulation wheel problem

2008-02-15 by beijingbass

First off greetings fellow ANIX users...my first post here btw

Okay,i'm based in Beijing and bought my machine here about 8 years
ago, totally love the thing and i've tried to keep it in mint
condition, although one problem has arisen.

When i roll the MOD wheel forward, the scene's (beneath the volume
pot) both activate and light up. Does anyone know if this would be
program related or an internal problem?

Thanks in advance, and great group... there's stacks of faithful AN
users in China btw.

Hello Herbie,

This isn't a problem, this is by design - when both Scene Ctrl buttons are illuminated, it
indicates the Scene Morph function has been engaged. By default the Mod Wheel controls
the morphing function between the Scenes in a Voice. The effect of morphing is more
pronounced based on the differences in settings between the two scenes - often times the
effect can be subtle, but with more extreme differences between the value of common
parameters the effect can be more... dramatic.

Regards,

Jon

re: [AN1x] Modulation wheel problem

Hello!
the mod wheel can "morph" the sound between the 2 possible "scenes" of a patch. Very interesting effect, either to slightly change the sound between 2 different versions(one of my favorites : 2 organ sounds). It can produce weird effects if both sounds are completely different, specially when their pitch is not the same.
Check in your patch if the mod wheel is assigned to "scene morph" or someting related to the scenes. If everything else is OK it is not a hardware problem.
Cheers
J.F.
