an- editor question

an- editor question

2007-07-04 by John

when running the an Editor software, do u have to have the an200
midi'ed up to the computer in order to use it?

i got the an200 a few months back and am still confused on how to use
the software.. i would like to be able to create sounds using the
software but again im not sure if i need the unit hooked up via midi
interface in order to acomplish this.. any feedback would be much
apreciated..

No, but it's kind of pointless without doing so - how else are you to audition the results of
your efforts?

No, only to hear what you're doing!

The editor will still work even when the synth is not connected by
MIDI. You could create and save patches but how you would do that
without hearing them is beyond me ;)

One thing you can do easily without having the synth connected is
arrange patches into banks using the librarian functions.
