I'm finally giving up my An1x

I'm finally giving up my An1x

2007-06-23 by Jason

After 7 years, I'm giving up my first synth, my trusty An1x. This
thing was my bread and butter synth for years, but having lost my
overall musical vision, I'm selling off most of my studio (minus the
MidiNES and MonoMachine) and taking a break from composition and
recording. You can hear past recordings I did with the an1x at
www.robotanalysis.com

I've uploaded my current patches to the files section. It would warm
my heart if someone used them in a song or two.

Cheers,
Jason

Many thanx for the patches, maybe you'l get another AN1X in the future when and if the time is right.

Kind regards.

Rob.

Good luck. I don'tr sell any of my gear now. Anything I've sold, I've
regretted later. Good to break once in awhile though. Thanks for the
patches.

I'm not going to sell it, just store it away at my parents house.
What's a measley $200, anyways? :)

Yea! Glad to hear it. It always pains to hear when somebody would be
selling their AN1x. Such a gorgeous instrument it is.

Here's a minor plea to anyone who might have the patience to convert
the an1 file to a sysex file for those of on macs...

thanks!

Glad to hear you're not getting rid of it.

Are you running a Mactel or PPC?

If you're running a PPC, then AN1xEdit will run under Classic and you can use the Export
command to convert the .an1 to SysEx.

I don't know if it has been mentioned in the past, but it is possible
on an IntelMac to use the Windows AN1x-editor under the Parallels-
virtualization environment without any problems (at least it does on
my MacBook and with my MIDI-interface).

Denis,

Thanks for that news, very cool. What type of MIDI Interface are you
using?

I use a M-Audio Midisport 2x2.
After installing the device drivers in the virtualized Windows XP and
activating the USB support in the Parallels-program it worked like a
charm.

Thats normal, you probably need to just re-focus your time sense to get
back in the groove. Go back to practicing reading music. Use a Franz
metronome (get one on www.ebay.com) Check out Carol Kayes website,
www.carolkaye.com
