But, why not change ? You can find knobs with the same type of hole for cheap by Farnell . The size is approximately the same and they are not ugly, you can even choose the color of the knob and of the stripe . You can find the famous "chicken head" knobs found on vintage amps too : once i've used them at work just for fun, my frontplate looked like an old AC30 ! I believe that a genuine Yamaha knob is as expensive as box of 10 Farnell knobs... Important remark : i don't have any interest in this company, but i use to buy all kinds of electronic devices for prototyping or maintenance at work . You order on line and receive the gear 2 or 3 days later . @+ J.F. --- avast! Antivirus: message Sortant propre. I bought keys for my AN1x just a couple of months ago directly from Yamaha. The probably have knobs too. All Electronics also has small knobs: http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/category/310/Knobs.html Don't forget to measure & use those designed for a D shaft. Bob El Segundo, CA

I too need AN1x knobs. Actually, I only need one but I went to the website mentioned in this message and I would have to know the shaft size for the knob I'm buying. How in the hell I'm I gonna figure that one out? I need the knob that is located furthest to the right of the board. It seems that all 9 of the knobs to the left are the same size and will fit on the shaft on the right, that's missing the knob, but they fit alittle loose and seems slightly sloppy(easy to pull off). Can anyone state the shaft size for the knob I'm looking for? thanks, Kevin --- In AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com, "Bob S." <tttsystems@...> wrote: > > Also www.jameco.com > > Go to Electromechanical->Knobs->Plastic > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Bob S. > To: AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Sunday, January 21, 2007 5:16 PM > Subject: Re: [AN1x] PLEASE HELP! I bought an AN1x on eBay not too long ago (Sept 2006) that was missing the same knob. I called Yamaha Parts and got it for US$10.91 shipped. They got it to me in about 3 or so days (I live in Colorado, USA). Here's the website (for the US): http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/Text_WithCatMenu_SC/0,,CTID%25253D410040%252526CNTYP%25253DGENERAL,00.html Tom --- In AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com, "captain.moloney" <captain.moloney@...> wrote:
