You do mean Service Manual & not User Manual, right? What can you service, even as a technician, in an AN200 that would require a manual?

Yes, I do mean Service manual, not the owner's manual.

I need the circuitry schematics and some tech data for troubleshooting.

Most of these small units are custom LSI circuits on a single board, generally not repairable by you or I (and I am an engineer). You might be able to repair a pot or a switch or an interconnecting cable, but you don't need schematics for that.

What kind of problem are you having, maybe I can help with some generally troubleshooting.....

Thanks Bob!

The problem is that a customer contacted me stating his unit went dead
after an attempt to update the OS - which is quite odd. According to
him, he tried everything to resurected it. But the unit stay dead -
won't power up at all.

Of course, there are the usual suspects like the power adaptor, the
power socket, a capacitor in the power supply area.

That's why I wanted the service manual to study it a bit and maybe
pinpoint the origin of the problem. To my experience, no synths I
worked on mysteriously died from an OS update (which was supposedly
downloaded from the Yamaha website).

That's the one. He's shipping his AN200 to me to look at it. I've got a
headful of theories but would have like to have the schematics (at
least) to explore other possible avenues.

Finding Service Manuals for the AN* series online is a real trick - never seen a PDF distributed
online. Suggest you try Yamaha - see if they'll hand one over.

The previous user who had the same issue hasn't chimed in on either this thread or the
previous, but was able to correct the same issue following the directions linked too in either
thread. Don't know why the same can't be said for the incident you've taken on. There might
be some related discussion on the DX200 list here at Yahoo! Groups, but I can't say first hand
as I've not made time to participate on that list in many months.

Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
